PERSONAL INJURY

How do I know I have a case?

Personal injury refers to the area of law that seeks to protect victims who are harmed by the failure of another to do or not do something that causes injury.

  • Negligence - This occurs when a person or company fails to prevent an injury by allowing for unsafe conditions or engaging in unsafe behavior.
  • Intentional Wrong - This applies when the injury is the result of reckless, dangerous, or harmful behavior that the defendant recognized as such but continued anyway, resulting in injury to another.
  • Strict Liability - This category applies to manufacturers whose products must meet certain standards of safety.

In personal injury cases, you only have to pay the firm if we recover financial compensation for you.

Personal injury claims can arise out of many circumstances, including motor vehicle accidents, slips and falls, dog bites, defective products, medical negligence, liquor liability, farm accidents, construction site and other work-related accidents, or negligence actions.

How do I know which law firm to retain?

Our attorneys have an excellent track record of obtaining monetary damages, insurance benefits and other compensation for personal injury clients.

Attorney Don Walser is the lead attorney in personal injury cases. Don is a Certified Civil Trial Specialist and was recognized as a "Super Lawyer" -- a designation achieved by fewer than 5% of the lawyers in Minnesota.

Do I have to pay for legal services?

We accept personal injury cases on a contingency basis. This means that you only have to pay the firm if we recover financial compensation for you. If no money is awarded, you generally do not have to pay any fees to the firm at all.
