After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Food Science and a minor in Sports Management, Phillip worked in food production and processing. His experience includes four months in Mexico at a cacao plantation and chocolate factory as well as four years in egg processing. Using his work experience, Phillip emphasized business and intellectual property when attaining a law degree from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School where he graduated cum laude. He joined Kraft Walser Law Office in November 2020.
Beyond the law, Phillip has enjoyed coaching youth wrestling and continues mentoring through Kids Hope USA. He experiments with food processing and fermentation at home and likes to spend time outside canoeing, hiking, and playing hockey.
